Assignment Overview – SAP Integration Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Integration Consultant to support the design and implementation of a multi-regional architecture strategy for SAP BTP. The role involves creating a working concept that includes a set of integration flows with diverse source systems, aimed at validating the proposed architecture’s feasibility and performance.

Role Objectives

• Develop a functional concept to showcase cross-regional capabilities within SAP BTP, using a selected subset of integration scenarios.

• Evaluate the impact of regional distribution on APIs and integration components.

• Identify required adjustments to current development processes to ensure smooth collaboration and deployment in a multi-regional setup.

• Determine how sender and receiver systems need to be configured or adapted to support communication across regions.

• Provide strategies for synchronizing systems and data between regions.

• Offer risk mitigation approaches for cases where multi-regional deployment poses challenges or limitations.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in SAP integration work, with at least 6 years hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Integration.

• Strong knowledge of SAP API Management.

• Experience in setting up custom domains within the SAP BTP landscape.

• Deep understanding of integration security, including:

  • Inbound and outbound connectivity within SAP CPI

  • Client certificate authentication

  • Principal propagation mechanisms

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating SAP Cloud Integration with tools like Apache Kafka.

• Familiarity with additional BTP services such as:

  • SAP Event Mesh

  • SAP Build Workzone

  • SAP Cloud Transport Service

  • SAP Cloud ALM for Operations

• Knowledge of high-availability infrastructure in SAP BTP.

• Understanding of global routing tools like AWS Route 53 or Azure Traffic Manager.
