Assignment: Principal Data Domain Architect – Strategic Role in Scalable Data Architecture

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Principal Data Domain Architect to lead the definition and implementation of a scalable, secure, and future-oriented data architecture within manufacturing and powertrain domains.

This is a strategic role that requires a blend of deep technical knowledge and business insight. Your expertise will shape how data is structured, governed, and utilized to support digital transformation and enterprise growth.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Strategy

• Define and lead data architecture strategies that align with business goals and technology roadmaps.

• Develop architectural guidelines and frameworks for the long-term evolution of data capabilities.

Architecture & Governance

• Design robust and scalable data platforms while ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance and regulatory standards.

• Promote high standards for data quality, integrity, security, and accessibility.

Modeling & Integration

• Translate conceptual and logical models into physical data structures that support real-time operations and analytics.

• Oversee integration of structured and unstructured data across systems and domains.

Technology Enablement

• Implement and promote the use of modern cloud-native data tools and platforms (especially Azure-based technologies).

• Identify innovation opportunities and support the adoption of advanced data capabilities across the enterprise.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor architects, modelers, and engineers to foster technical excellence.

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication.

• Lead cross-functional efforts to define and uphold architectural standards.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in data architecture and modeling in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure data services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.

• Demonstrated ability to architect end-to-end data solutions that are scalable, compliant, and business-aligned.

• Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving adoption of architecture principles.

• Structured and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A collaborative and inspiring team player with a passion for continuous improvement.
