Cybersecurity Architect
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Architect with advanced expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and automotive security to join a mission-critical assignment within the mobility sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape cybersecurity architecture in next-generation connected vehicle platforms.
Role Summary
You will be part of a dedicated cybersecurity unit responsible for safeguarding both in-vehicle systems and cloud-connected infrastructures. The position involves end-to-end responsibility for designing, leading, and operationalizing PKI frameworks while supporting broader cybersecurity strategies across embedded and external systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of PKI architectures for secure communication between Electronic Control Units (ECUs), covering both in-vehicle (onboard) and cloud-side (offboard) systems.
Translate cybersecurity standards and best practices into technical designs aligned with project and compliance objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including embedded software engineers, systems architects, and regulatory compliance teams.
Contribute to and guide Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) processes.
Actively support the integration of cooperative intelligent transport solutions (C-ITS) and other future mobility technologies.
Mentor and educate team members and stakeholders on PKI implementation strategies and cybersecurity principles.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 12 years of experience within the cybersecurity field, with specific focus on applied security in embedded systems or automotive platforms.
Extensive hands-on experience designing and deploying PKI solutions in complex technical environments.
Proficiency with network security protocols such as TLS, IPSec, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity mechanisms for both vehicle ECUs and cloud-based services.
Experience working with standards such as ISO 15118 (vehicle-to-grid communication), ISO 21434 (cybersecurity engineering), and UNECE R155 (cybersecurity regulation).
Demonstrated leadership in managing technical projects and facilitating collaboration across domains.
Familiarity with ISO 27000 series, ISO 26262, and other safety-related standards.

Location: On-site in Gothenburg, Sweden
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Estimated Duration: Approx. 1,040 hours (full-time commitment)
Workload: 40 hours/week
