Assignment: Senior Service Designer (Telecom/Network/RAN)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Service Designer for a long-term consulting assignment. This role requires a strong background in Telecom, Network, and RAN technologies and the ability to lead complex design initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

This is a temporary engagement covering for a senior designer currently on leave. The position involves contributing to a strategically important program with clear objectives and deliverables. The scope is well-defined, and thorough documentation will be key to ensuring a seamless handover once the regular designer returns.

Key Responsibilities

• Design human-centered experiences across multiple service touchpoints in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

• Lead and facilitate co-creation sessions with technical stakeholders and proxy users, including external customers when relevant.

• Organize and conduct design thinking workshops with cross-functional teams to generate innovative solutions.

• Plan and execute a full TA (Technical Analysis) study—from preparation and setup to execution, analysis, and delivery of actionable insights.

• Perform research through interviews, desk studies, and workshops to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and translate findings into practical design strategies.

• Use storytelling techniques to clearly communicate research results, opportunity areas, and conceptual designs to diverse audiences.

• Develop design content, specifications, and documentation to align deliverables across programs, networks, and related business areas.

• Work closely with designers, developers, product managers, technical experts, and system engineers to ensure the right problems are addressed and the optimal user experience is achieved.

• Monitor and apply industry trends and best practices in service design, ensuring innovative approaches are integrated into products and services.

Required Skills & Competence

• Strong expertise in Telecom, Network, and RAN technologies.

• Proven experience in service design with a track record of delivering human-centric solutions.

• Deep understanding of technical stakeholder management and co-creation methods.

• Ability to run and document complex TA studies with precision.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights through clear and engaging storytelling.

• Familiarity with structured development models and large-scale product development processes.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable results.

• Location: Kista, Stockholm (on-site presence required)
