Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with a strong focus on automation and system architecture to design, build, and maintain a GPU-accelerated Remote Desktop (VDI) platform. The environment supports pre- and post-processing of HPC workloads, such as simulations, visualization, and rendering, using Rocky Linux / RHEL with X11 and Xfce4.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain the Linux-based GPU-enabled Remote Desktop infrastructure (DCV/EF/SLURM/X11/Xfce4).

• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Ansible.

• Ensure security, scalability, performance, and reliability across all deployments.

• Collaborate closely with HPC and infrastructure teams.

• Document architecture, configuration, and deployment procedures for long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably with Rocky Linux or RHEL.

• Strong skills in automation and IaC (Ansible or similar).

• Proficient in Bash scripting (Python experience is a plus).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.

• Knowledge of X11, desktop environments (Xfce4, GNOME, etc.), and remote rendering protocols.

• Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools (Prometheus preferred).

• Strong architectural mindset and ability to manage complex systems independently.

Meriting

• Experience in HPC environments and SLURM scheduler.

• Experience with NICE DCV, EF Portal (EnginFrame), Open OnDemand, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with Docker/Podman and observability solutions.
