We are now looking for a Simulation Engineer for a consulting assignment with our client – a leading technology company in the field of advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving systems. In this role, you will play a key part in developing the tools and services that enable cutting-edge simulation and testing of autonomous systems. The assignment combines technical leadership with hands-on software development in a high-tech and agile environment.

About the assignment
As a Simulation Engineer, you will:

Develop and maintain Open-Loop SIL Simulation Framework tools and related services.
Take a leading role in software design, architecture, and development practices within the team.
Review the current architecture and contribute to creating a more efficient microservices-based solution.
Ensure that simulation jobs (from CI and developers) run smoothly and efficiently on a high-performance cluster.
You will be part of an agile team where collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are key.

Requirements
MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
3–7 years of relevant software development experience.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide other developers in design and architecture.
Solid experience with Python.
Experience with DevOps tools, Git, and Gerrit.
Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
Good experience with Linux and Bash scripting.
Experience working with high-performance clusters (HPC).
Understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious
Experience from the automotive industry.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Jenkins.

Work model: Hybrid (combination of on-site and remote work).
Location: Gothenburg.
Background check: A Level 2 background check is required before starting (employment history, references, identity, citizenship, education, trade sanctions, and criminal record).
Assignment period: By agreement, with the possibility of extension.
