QA Specialist

Role description

We are looking for a QA Specialist to provide quality assurance support and guidance within a digital organization, primarily focused on development teams. The role operates as part of a central function and may include areas of expertise such as test architecture, performance testing, and test automation. You will work closely with DevOps teams by coaching effective testing practices and supporting the integration of QA into daily development work. Collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders is a core part of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Own and implement the overall QA and test strategy to support modern software development

• Establish technical enablers that help teams deliver reliable, high-quality solutions

• Coach development and DevOps teams in effective testing practices and ways of working

• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., product owners, architects, release coordination roles) to ensure QA activities meet agreed standards

• Review ways of working, identify improvement areas, and drive quality-related initiatives

• Define and implement test architecture

• Establish tools, frameworks, and ways of working for:

  • Test automation

  • Non-functional testing (performance, security, maintainability)

  • Test data management

• Contribute to test strategy development for teams working in agile and DevSecOps contexts

• Support and develop others within relevant QA competence areas

Requirements

• Solid understanding of common software development approaches, including Scrum

• Hands-on experience with both BDD and TDD

• Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe and an understanding of DevOps practices

• Experience designing and working with test automation frameworks

• Practical knowledge of API and integration testing, including REST and WebSockets

• Experience in mobile application testing for Android and iOS using tools such as Appium and Sauce Labs

• Proven experience in test data management

• Experience in non-functional testing such as performance, security, and maintainability

• Understanding of ITIL principles and IT operations practices

• Ability to lead, evolve, and drive test strategies across multiple teams or organizational units

• Experience defining and applying test strategies for microservice-based architectures

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information to stakeholders at different levels

• Ability to translate ideas into practical, actionable outcomes

• Ability to explain complex subjects in a clear and simplified manner

• Ability to support and develop others within relevant competence areas

• Location requirement: 3 days on-site per week in Malmö

• Language requirement: Swedish or English
