Role Overview

This is a high-level strategic consulting assignment within quality assurance and testing, suited for an experienced professional with a strong background in building and evolving QA frameworks, test strategies, and quality governance structures. The assignment is set within an international, technically advanced environment focused on automation and intralogistics solutions.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to a key stakeholder within the organization, ensuring that quality assurance is structured, methodologically sound, and integrated at the right stages of the delivery lifecycle – well before solutions reach end customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic speaking partner and advisor on QA strategy and testing methodology

• Develop and improve test methodologies, processes, and ways of working

• Ensure testing is integrated early in the project and delivery lifecycle

• Support the establishment or further development of QA frameworks

• Identify risks during delivery and integration phases

• Ensure quality assurance activities are completed prior to customer delivery

• Drive improvement initiatives based on lessons learned

• Support the organization in increasing overall QA maturity

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA, testing, and quality assurance

• Proven experience developing and implementing test strategies

• Experience establishing or evolving QA frameworks

• Strong expertise in test processes, methodologies, and quality governance

• Experience working in complex system environments (e.g., automation, industrial systems, intralogistics, or similar)

• Ability to operate at a strategic and advisory level, rather than in a purely operational capacity

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Strong analytical and structured mindset

• Experience working in international organizations

Meritorious

• Experience from integration-intensive environments

• Background in technical or industrial domains

• Academic degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent

• Scope: Part-time, flexible engagement (up to 50%)

Location

Remote (primary work model). Occasional travel to Dortmund, Germany may occur when needed.
